Cat Tongue non-abrasive grip tape review

Zec Richardson is a blogger and reviewer at Satonmybutt and is part of our in-house team taking a closer look at some of our products, today he is looking at our Cat Tongue non-abrasive grip tape.

One of my favourite things about doing reviews is when I get to try out products that weren’t specifically designed for the disability market but that are a perfect fit.

And that is exactly what the Cat Tongue nonabrasive grip tape is! At this moment, the Disability Horizons Shop is the only place you can purchase it in the UK.

What is the Cat Tongue non-abrasive grip tape?

Cat Tongue says it’s tape gives you: “A better grip on everything.”

“Boasting a sleek, textured surface, this clear, self-adhesive tape provides a layer of waterproof, dishwasher safe, anti-slip protection to everything from your smartphone and tablet, to tools, water bottles, sports equipment, area rugs, wheelchairs, cutting boards, utensils, and more.

Plus, it doesn’t pick up hair, lint, dirt, debris, etc…and always stays clean. It’s also super strong and durable and easy to use. Simply cut the tape with ordinary scissors to the desired shape, length and size, then peel off the backing, stick onto a clean dry surface and grip.”

Having tried it, it literally is as easy as that! It is one of those products that is really handy to have in your draw, and I guarantee that you will be reaching in to grab it a lot.

I added strips of it around my Sho bottle that holds 590ml of fluid so that when my hands are playing up it won’t slip out of my hand.

The textured surface is a grid pattern so it makes cutting it into strips or squares easy as you can simply follow the lines.

Peeling the back off isn’t a chore, as it is with some tape. It very easily peels off and, once stuck to the item, it won’t budge. However, if you do need to peel it off, it will do so without leaving any residue.

It is also latex-free, washable and can even go in the dishwasher.

Is there anything I can find that isn’t amazing about this product?

No! The uses for this tape go as far as your imagination and I know that I will be using this for some many things.

It will be added to the handles of some of my garden tools, beekeeping tools and the handle of my Snap-On screwdriver.

Although I haven’t tried it for any of these uses, the Cat Tongue says the tape can also be used on “a plethora of disability sport and fitness uses – adding extra grip to tennis and squash rackets, exercise and gym equipment and even golf clubs – with the added benefit of the tape being water-resistant, making it easy to clean after use.”

It costs £19.95, or two rolls for £35 and has 10′ on each roll.

At this point, I have to say, “Enough! Come on Disability Horizons Shop, I need a product I can tear apart and find fault in!”
