Duncan Edwards

Duncan Edwards is not just a dedicated professional in the field of disability services, but also a devoted family man whose personal life deeply intertwines with his work. As the shop manager at Disability Horizons Shop, Duncan's commitment to providing a diverse range of products for individuals with disabilities is not just a professional obligation, but a personal mission. His understanding and empathy stem from his own family experiences, making his work more than just a job. Duncan's wife, Clare, a talented artist and designer, is the co-founder of Trabasack, a company known for its innovative lap desk bags. Her creativity and resilience in the face of adversity have been a driving force behind the company's success. After sustaining a spinal injury, she became a wheelchair user, a life-changing event that has only amplified their commitment to creating products that promote independence and mobility for people with disabilities. Their son, Joe, was born with Dravet syndrome, a rare and debilitating form of epilepsy that results in profound and multiple complex needs. Joe's condition has further deepened Duncan's understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and their families. It has also reinforced his determination to provide solutions that can improve their quality of life. Duncan's professional achievements, coupled with his personal experiences, have made him a respected figure in the disability community. His work is a testament to his belief in the potential of every individual, regardless of physical limitations and the often frustrating inaccessibilty of the modern world. Duncan is not just a shop manager and entrepreneur; he is a tireless advocate for inclusivity and accessibilty.
