Genuine RADAR Keys — Now £7.95 for Two
The Radar Key Company has relaunched its genuine RADAR key in a new brass-plated format. It keeps the same fit and reliability, but at a lower cost. We’ve passed the saving on: a two-key pack is now £7.95, down from £9.95. Single keys remain £4.95.
We now offer three double-pack options — two large keys for easier grip, two small keys for pockets and keyrings, or one of each. All double packs include a “Just Can’t Wait” card and information about the Accessible Toilet apps.
A Note from Duncan Edwards, Shop Manager
Tom Gordon has supplied genuine RADAR keys to my stores and trade shows for over 10 years. In that time, we have sold thousands. Not one has been returned as faulty.
That isn’t a coincidence. Every key is tested in two RADAR locks by a master locksmith before it leaves. That is what makes it a genuine RADAR key.
I’ve had customers come back to us after buying cheaper copy keys elsewhere. Keys that looked right but didn’t turn when it mattered. An accessible toilet you can’t get into isn’t accessible. The price difference is pennies. The reliability difference can be significant.
Tom and his company aren’t just selling a product. They’ve been involved in the locks, the standards, and the technology that helps disabled people find accessible toilets across the UK for decades. Supporting them means supporting the whole scheme — not just buying a key.
After more than 10 years, that trust is well earned. I’m happy to stand behind these keys.
Why a Genuine RADAR Key Matters
Cheap copy keys are widely available online. Some work. Many don’t — and you often won’t know until you need one.
Poorly cut keys can also damage lock mechanisms over time. Once a lock is damaged, even a correctly manufactured key may struggle. The toilet becomes harder to open, not just for you, but for the next person as well.
A genuine RADAR key is manufactured to the correct tolerances and tested before distribution. That testing reduces the risk of failure when it matters most.
| Genuine RADAR Key | Cheap Copy Key |
|---|---|
| Tested in two RADAR locks | Often untested |
| Checked by master locksmith | No confirmed quality control |
| Manufactured to correct tolerances | May be poorly cut |
| Long-standing UK manufacturer | Unknown origin |
| Zero returns in 10+ years | Risk of failure when needed |
Know Where to Use It
A key that works is only half the picture. The Accessible Toilets and Changing Places Apps connect users to over 30,000 accessible toilets across the UK, including those fitted with National Key Scheme locks. The listings also include Changing Places toilets, which offer larger spaces and specialist equipment for disabled people who need more than a standard accessible toilet provides.
All double packs include printed information about these apps. Carry the key and know exactly where it can be used. Confidence comes from having both.

Optional Extras: Keyfobs and Grip Support
If you already carry a genuine RADAR key, or want to make it easier to use, we also stock a range of practical add-ons.
Our Harris Tweed keyfobs with integrated RADAR keys combine reliability with a tactile, easy-to-spot design. They are popular with customers who prefer something more visible in a bag or easier to locate quickly.
We also stock versions with a holding loop, which can help people who have reduced grip strength or dexterity. A simple loop can make turning and retrieving a key more manageable.
For commercial premises, we offer “Don’t Take Me Home” extra-large keyfobs. These oversized fobs attach to RADAR keys and act as a visible reminder that the key belongs on-site. They are widely used in shops, cafés and public venues that provide access to customers.
