A Smart Tie Without the Difficulty of Tying Knots
This adaptive clip-on tie offers the appearance of a traditional tie without the need to tie a knot. Instead, the tie attaches easily to a shirt collar using a simple clip fastening.
For many people, tying a tie can be difficult due to reduced dexterity, tremors, arthritis, or limited hand movement. This design removes that barrier while keeping a neat and professional look.
At Disability Horizons Shop, run by disabled people and award-winning disability innovation specialists, we focus on products that help remove everyday obstacles. Clothing that supports independent dressing plays an important role in daily life.
Designed for Easier Dressing
Traditional ties often require fine finger movements and coordination. This clip-on design allows the tie to be attached in seconds.
The fastening simply clips to the shirt collar, meaning there is no need to create or adjust a knot.
This can be helpful for:
-
Disabled people with reduced hand dexterity
-
People with arthritis or joint pain
-
People with Parkinson’s or tremors
-
Stroke survivors during rehabilitation
-
Anyone who prefers a quicker way to get dressed
Carers may also find clip-on ties useful when assisting someone with dressing.
Suitable for Work, School, and Formal Events
Adaptive clothing should still feel like everyday clothing. This tie has a classic design suitable for the same occasions as standard ties.
Common uses include:
-
Workplace dress codes
-
School uniforms
-
Weddings and formal events
-
Smart everyday wear
The tie keeps a neat knot shape each time it is worn, which also removes the need for adjustments.

Honest heads-up: we no longer stock Clip On Ties directly in our shop. We’re a small team, and managing stock of every product we love just isn’t sustainable for us anymore. But we genuinely rate these shirts — thoughtfully designed, adaptive clothing that makes dressing easier without compromising on style — so we didn’t want to simply remove them. Instead, we’ve linked them through to The Able Label Store. Click the button, buy them there, and we earn a tiny commission that helps keep Disability Horizons going. No extra cost to you, and you still get a great product we’d happily recommend. Win-win. You can also use DISHOZ10 for a 10% discount
About The Able Label
The Able Label is a new clothing retailer specialising in stylish and discreet adaptive clothing that not only looks good, but is designed to make dressing easier.
The founder of The Able Label, Katie Ellis, was a fashion buyer for high street clothing retailer White Stuff, when, unfortunately, her grandmother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Katie saw that dressing had becoming increasingly difficult for her grandmother, and was shocked by the lack of adaptive clothing and dressing solutions online that really fit the bill.
Katie decided to do something about it and got to work designing, developing and testing a range of great-looking, adaptive clothes that many people like her grandmother would love to wear yet also find easy to live with. The rest is history.
The Able Label range is designed to help people with a variety of physical and cognitive needs whilst also encouraging self-confidence and independence. Able Label clothes feature quality fabrics, discreet adaptive designs, innovative fastenings and much more.
